Player Ratings in pre-season El Clasico After Barcelona trash Madrid 3-0

Barça’s most exciting game of the pre-season: El Clásico against Real Madrid. Whether it’s a friendly or not, this prestigious match is always special, and this one was no exception.

The game started with an early goal by Dembélé in the 15th minute, on an unexpected play coming from a free-kick.

The clash came with chances for both teams and a few minutes after Barça’s goal Real Madrid won a penalty due handball by Araujo, which was missed by Vinicius Jr.

More chances came for both teams, but surprisingly Real Madrid failed to score, missing 6 great chances, hitting the post 5 times.

On the other side, Barça made the most of their chances with Fermin Lopez scoring a great goal, and Ferran Torres scoring a great goal in the last minutes.

Barça Universal brings you the player ratings from Barcelona 3-0 Real Madrid.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen: 8/10

The German had a couple of great saves and kept a clean sheet.

Ronald Araujo: 6/10

Kept Vinicius quiet on a few plays, but gave away a penalty due to handball.

Jules Koundé: 7.5/10

Great defensive performance, blocking 3 important shots and being important in getting the ball output.

Andreas Christensen: 5/10

Played around 30 minutes and was replaced due to discomfort. He was solid on defense.

Alejandro Balde: 8/10

Won 5/6 duels and completed 4/4 dribbles. Had a couple of great runs, and was solid in defence.

Oriol Romeu: 7/10

Great game from the Barça pivot, much better than his first game against Arsenal. Romeu had an excellent 97% passing accuracy, and was vital in defence.

Frenkie de Jong: 9.5/10

Majestic game from the Dutchman, he dominated and stood out in a pitch full of stars, being very active in the plays and giving fluidity to Barça’s approach.

Ilkai Gündogan: 5/10

Played around 40 minutes and was substituted due to discomfort, although he wasn’t very active in the match. We will have to see how he develops in the following matches.

Ousmane Dembélé: 8/10

Scorer of the only goal of the game, and a nightmare for Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia in his side. Dembélé showed that he is a differential player.

Robert Lewandowski: 4.5

Was very little active during the match, taking only 2 shots, none on target. Far from the best Lewandowski.

Eric García: 7/10

Came on for Christensen. Eric had a good game and was vital in several plays preventing Real Madrid from scoring. Golden chance for Eric.

Sergi Roberto: 7/10

Played as a midfielder and had a good role in midfield. Assisted Fermin Lopez’s goal.

Marcos Alonso: 5/10

Little tested and played few minutes.

Sergiño Dest: 5/10

Little tested and played few minutes.

Raphinha: 6/10

Lack of activity in possession, but when he had the ball he generated a couple of good chances.

Fermin Lopez: 7/10

Scored a great goal from outside the box, and was not very active in possession but dangerous when he had the ball. An interesting player worth watching closely. Deserved goal.

Pedri: 7/10

Played a huge role in midfield, providing 3 key passes and being key for Barça’s possession. Pedri assisted Dembélé’s goal in a very interesting free-kick play.

Ferran Torres: 7/10

Played few minutes and hardly received the ball, but scored a beautiful goal at the final minutes. Back-to-back goals for Ferran.
