Tennis legend, Rafael Nadal, has shared his thoughts on the unending debate on who the greatest footballer of all time is between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, he also safeguarded himself from backlash with a stylish reply.
Messi made his debut for Inter Miami in MLS on July 21 and scored a match-winning last-minute free kick, and has been dominating the headlines since.
The Argentine also had an offer from the Middle East to rekindle the rivalry with Ronaldo that they enjoyed for nine years inĀ La Liga, but turned it down for an offer from the US team.
Ronaldo departed Europe in January and joined Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia after his Manchester United contract was terminated.Ā The GuardianĀ reported that he closed the door on his time in Europe in his recent post-match thoughts.

With the debate about which of these two veterans is superior still raging, Nadal when quizzed by some fans on who he believes the GOAT of football is.
