In less than a week, Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” crosses the gold threshold
According to Chart Data, Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” has already moved over 500,000 units in less than a full week.
Drake has received more good news after being nominated for eight BET Hip-Hop Awards and getting a heartfelt homage from Zimbabwean artist HulioDraws. It was projected a day after the release of his current record Certified Lover Boy that his sixth studio album will sell between 575,000 and 625,000 units in its first week.
Now, as Certified Lover Boy’s first seven days come to a close, Chart Data has revealed that the album has crossed a significant threshold. While it’s still unclear whether the album will underperform or outperform its initial sales projections, Chart Data has revealed that the album has crossed a significant threshold.
According to Chart Data, Drake’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy has officially sold over 500,000 units in the United States as of Thursday afternoon, making it the first album in 2021 to achieve this milestone in under a week. Certified Lover Boy has already sold enough units to get a gold RIAA certification, according to this recently released statistic.
