Victor Osimhen likely to pick a Premier League club over Paris Saint-Germain as he is all set to leave Napoli this summer.
Osimhen wants to join a Premier League club
Set to snub PSG for a move to England
Linked with a move away from Napoli
WHAT HAPPENED?
The Nigerian forward has been linked with a move away from Napoli this summer amid interest from several top clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal and PSG. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen is likely to move to the Premier League.
THE EXPLANATION
The report claims that Osimhen is not interested in joining the French giants as he is not convinced about playing in the Ligue 1. The player reportedly considers the Premier League to be his dream destination which makes Arsenal and Chelsea the favourite candidates to land the player ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The 25-year-old star, who won the Golden Boot award in the 2022/23 season, signed a new contract with Gli Azzurri in December last year. In his new deal, the player reportedly has a release clause of €120-€130m (£101m-£109m/$139-$128).
The Serie A giants are in no rush to sell their star striker and are unlikely to let him leave unless any club trigger his release clause. He sat out his national team’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin recently due to injury.
