Citizens is the debut project by Canadian-Moroccan singer/songwriter Faouzia set to be released in spring 2022, the song was announced alongside the release of it’s lead single RIP, Love and is described as a prequel to her upcoming debut studio album set for release later this year.

Faouzia Ouihya or simply Faouzia, is a Canadian singer from Manitoba, born on July 5, 2000 in Morocco. She started her career by doing song covers on YouTube and participating in several singing competitions, winning a few of them.

Faouzia also features on four songs: “Battle” by the internationally known French DJ David Guetta, “Money” by the popular French rapper Ninho, the Arabic version of the song “I Dare You” by the famous American singer Kelly Clarkson and “I Fly” by the Swedish electronic dance-pop duo Galantis. In 2020, Faouzia also collaborated with John Legend on the song “Minefields,” which garnered much attention upon its release.

Faouzia would enter 2021 with “Hero,” a track dealing with one-sided infatuations. It would released on June 29th.
