A young lady has brought joy to inmates in a Correctional facility in St. Lucia after she paid a surprise visit to teach them chess.
Tris-Ann Richards said teaching the male prisoners how to play chess was a life changing experience for her and them as well
She shared photos showing the men looking evidently happy and at peace while challenging each other to a game of chess.
According to her, they said that if she had not visited, they would have been fighting among themselves.
Tris-Ann wrote; ”I visited the prison to teach chess. It was such a life changing experience! It almost brought me to tears 😭. They were so excited and eager to learn.
“If you didn’t come today we would be fighting, now we have chess and everyone is getting along”-inmate😭🥰🤗 #chessforfreedom.”
She received commendation from social media users who were impressed.
